TheTruth.com Commercials Are Stupid

Seriously, they actually piss me off because they are that stupid. Especially the latest ones, first with that stupid guy who is putting on the Muppet-esque costume in the fan and it's just soooooo hilarious that he's struggling to get the costume on. Idiot. Then he walks around asking people if they'd watch a movie with him in it and they say no, but he goes to a playground and magically all the kids love him, thus proving that tobacco companies market to kids.

The one that really irritates me though is the one where this same douche bag goes into various gun shops looking for 'light' bullets. His point is clear even before we get to the grand finale where one of the gun store owners points out in infinite wisdom, "Just like you won't find a safe and healthy bullet, you won't find a safe and healthy cigarette" ... or something similar. No shit, are you for real? Wow, cigarettes are bad? They kill people just like bullets? No fucking shit, idiot.

Then I went to TheTruth.com just to prove and further cement my opinion of how stupid this whole thing is and was immediately directed to this address instead - http://www.whudafxup.com/?ref=truthsite. Hmmm. What is that supposed to say? If you sound it out, it sounds an awful lot like, 'What the fuck's up". Hmmm. So the moral of the story is: kids, don't smoke because it's bad, but go ahead and swear all you want.

I love how they knock tobacco companies for targeting kids, like with the Muppet-type example, but then they themselves do the same thing of sorts, trying to appear "cool" by kind of/almost using a 'naughty' word in their ads to get kids attention because kids think it is soooooo cool to swear. Hypocrites.

Maybe if parents actually parented their children instead of letting the television do their job for them, we wouldn't have these stupid fucking ads plastered all over the god damn TV all the time.
